Sacred or ritualistic dance is to be found in every tradition, every religion and every culture from remote antiquity up to modern times.

What has been its purpose and significance?

Why was it so important for people to include dance in their mythology as well as their history?

What remains of these traditions in the contemporary world?

In this talk Ifigeneia Kastamoniti takes us on an adventure down the ages to explore the mysteries of the sacred dance and its wonders.

Ifigeneia Katamoniti joined the Greek section of the TS in 1995. She has been a frequent lecturer and member of the Hellenic board for 20 years, editor of the Greek magazine ILISOS, editor and translator of many classical theosophical books.

She has ben secretary of gthe European School of Theosophy since 2018 and lives in Athens.
